My wife and I returned yesterday after a great 4 weeks in Mauritius. We really enjoyed the company of the Manager and his helpful advise and assistance. Badda was a lovely lady who made every effort to accommodate us comfortably.

I am writing to tell you that we had a wonderful wedding in Mauritius. Thank you for helping us. The apartment was very adequate for our needs and close to the beach and amenities. The air condtioner in the bedroom wasn't working for the first few days but Paul had it fixed as soon as we mentioned it to him.
Please pass on our thanks again to Paul for attending our wedding - he was quite entertaining after a couple of glasses of champagne! We are having a church blessing and celebration on March 1st in the UK but of course I shall have to wear a much warmer dress. We had a lovely stay in Mauritius and no doubt will return at some point.

" We had a lovely time in Mauritius. La Cascade offered all we needed to make our time pleasurable. There is a small supermarket a block away, and a big Super U supermarket - that offers everything you can think off for self catering purposes - 3km from La Cascade.
The bus stop is at the entrance of La Cascade, and the bus is very affordable and will take you to the super U to get cold drinks, food, cheeses, sauces....... Just a tip for all travellers going for a short period to Mauritius - book and plan your excursions as soon as you get there.We waited two days, and eventually when we booked it was cancelled due to rainfall, so we missed out on the catamaran trip we were so looking forward to.
The beach is lovely and nearby the apartment, and we had a wonderful time swimming! Relax and enjoy! "

"I couldn't believe my eyes when we
flew in over Mauritius. It looked exactly like the satellite
pictures I've seen - amazing! After getting of the aircraft,
our breathing became shorter and more difficult, must
be the humidity (it was higher than in our coastal areas).
To our delight, we arrived at La Cascade, a spacious,
neat and tidy apartment. I felt that I can survive anything
as long as we have this nice apartment to come back to.
Thank you for welcoming us in such a nice 'home'.
We spend Thursday and Friday driving around the North.
We went to the botanic gardens in Pamplemousses, the Mauritius
aquarium (only to found out later that we miss the big
one in Trou Aux Biches - another reason to visit again).
We went to Port Louis Waterfront, the red church in Cap
Malheuruex and of course all the shops we could find (we
like shopping)!
Saturday was a day on the beach and Sunday we took
an excursion to Gabrielle Island and snorkel for the first
time. That was unbelievable!! I was very nauseas on the
open sea, but it was well worth the trip.
Monday we drove along the east coast, took a public
ferry to Ile Aux Cerfs and spend a good few hours walking
along this island. We found beautiful sea stars and something
we call pumpkins (a round sea creature with little spikes
that dries and fall off to reveal a beautiful round 'shell').
Next time I'd like to spend more time on this island.
Tuesday, we arranged with ARA for a car again and
we travelled to the South/West. We stopped at the Black
River Gorge viewing area, I couldn't believe Mauritius
has these huge mountains. We walked around at Le Morne,
looking at the surfers at Club Mistral, trying to survive
the worst windy beach I've ever been on!
Wednesday was a sad day as we returned, but with
loads of stories to tell.
We are already planning another trip in next year with
our kids this time.
I'll let you know as soon as we have dates set. We discovered
a lot of things that we still want to do in Mauritius.
The apartment was great, we liked the spaciousness
and it was a safe haven to return every day. Thank you
once again for the accommodation. Please give our regards
to the Manager, he was very friendly and helpful - a real
gentleman."
